After voters back home, Barack Obama’s now lost his lustre abroad, failing to woo his counterparts at the G-20 summit in Seoul. Also, a folksy George W. Bush times his return to coincide with the Democrats’ thumping in the midterm elections, Ireland’s troubles and why Iraq’s violent, fractious, and drawn-out manner of choosing a new government may have a bright side.
