Still technically at war, North and South Korean relations hit a new low
They might be tied geographically, but there's no love lost between North and South Korea. Relations have been further strained this week after the two opened fire on each other. There have been a number of diplomatic disputes in recent years, but this spat marked the beginning of more tension. Pyongyang and Seoul remain technically at war, having never signed a peace treaty after the Korean War fifty years ago.
