“The Bettencourt sitcom is over”

In today’s French press review, we focus on the Bettencourt case. L’Oreal heiress Liliane Bettencourt and her daughter Françoise have finally made peace, after three years of tension. Although the family dispute seems to be over, the political scandal remains…

The right-wing newspaper Le Figaro reports about “The big reconciliation”.
Liliane Bettencourt and her daughter Françoise have finally decided to make peace. They reportedly signed a deal and dropped all lawsuits.

On the other hand, the left-wing daily Libération describes the case as a “Christmas bed time story”. According to the Christian newspaper La Croix, the reputation and the future of the cosmetics giant L’Oreal was at stake.

In other news, L’Humanité reports about a scandal at job centres.
