But veteran British director Mike Leigh allows us to eavesdrop on 4 seasons in his characters' lives in "Another Year," out today in France. And "Mysteries of Lisbon," directed by Raoul Ruiz, won the 68th Prix Louis Delluc for best film of the year.

Today’s guest, John Axelrod, is probably the only conductor working today who was previously a rock'n'roll talent scout for a record company discovering the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins, and the head of a wine firm. He has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras. His most recent appointment is Chief Conductor of the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, here in France.
