Sudan: southerners return home ahead of referendum
In Sudan, thousands of southern citizens who had been working in the north of the country are flooding back home ahead of a referendum that could result in a partition of the country. More than fifty thousand southerners have arrived back at their homesteads from the north since the start of October, according to the United Nations. Duncan Woodside and Stephanie Braquehais joined some of the returnees in Bentiu, a provincial capital in South Sudan, as they boarded coaches destined for their home
