If Southern Sudanese vote, as expected, to secede in Sunday’s independence referendum, President Omar al-Bashir says the two sides could establish a union not of defence but of security, economics and development in the style of the European Union.
REUTERS - North and South Sudan could join forces in a European Union-style pact if southerners vote to secede in Sunday's independence referendum, Sudan's president said in an interview on Friday.
