Libya crisis: Where is Europe's Common Defence Policy?
Europe's hesitant response to the Libyan crisis has once again revealed the weakness of the bloc's common Foreign and Defence policy. While France and Britain took a leading role in pushing for a UN resolution and military intervention on the ground, Germany chose to abstain from the UN vote, siding with Russia and China.
