Immigration: back to fortress France?

Europe supported the Tunisian revolt against former president Ben Ali, but it has not been so welcoming of the Tunisians fleeing the upheaval of the post-Ben Ali transition. More than 20,000 migrants have landed on Italy’s shores since the Arab spring began. They are seeking better economic opportunities not only in Italy, but also in other European countries like France.
