Ethical quandary for social networks

By posting these photos of Egyptian State security officers on Flickr, cyber activist Hossam el Hamalawy was hoping to get their faces seen by as many people as possible. The photos were removed from the site however. The reason given: the activist did not take the photos himself, as required in the terms of use. This case illustrates the dilemma facing social networks. They try to remain neutral and are used increasingly by political activists.
