The nuclear plant that Germans want shut down - in France
The Fessenheim nuclear power plant in Alsace is currently the subject of much debate. Germans are becoming increasingly opposed to nuclear power after the Fukushima disaster, and the plant's proximity to the Franco-German border has many of them worried. They want the ageing reactor shut down immediately, but most French people see no urgent need to close it down.
