Europe Day: what’s in it for young people?

As EU citizens celebrate Europe Day on May 9th, Talking Europe gives the floor to a panel of young Europeans. Thomas MAES, Belgium

Slaven KLOBUCAR, Croatia

The British Prime Minister has long been under pressure from the Eurosceptic wing of his party, but is he playing with fire or is a vote necessary to clarify the debate?

EU budget cuts: Tough times for culture

Is Europe's culture under threat? Over the past few years, national governments have been cutting culture subsidies in an effort to rein in debts and deficits. But critics warn the move will be counterproductive, since culture contributes more than 4 percent to the Union’s GDP. Christophe Robeet meets three MEPs to discuss the state of Europe's culture.
