French newspapers focus on the G8 summit in Deauville. Nicolas Sarkozy is thought to be in a strong position, ahead of the 2012 presidential election. Dominique Strauss-Kahn, once seen as Sarkozy’s rival, is now out of the race. He’s under house arrest in New York, accused of raping a hotel maid.
