The bacteria that's making Europe tremble

In today's French papers - the mutant e.coli bacteria sows panic in France, we take a look at the experiences of mixed race couples in France, and the excitement starts to build up for the Roland Garros final.

The e.coli outbreak continues to make headlines in France - le Parisien says it's sowing panic across Europe, while le Figaro has a more diplomatic take on the story - focusing on the breakdown in relations between Spain and Germany.

Local paper le Courrier Picard says the bacterium may be getting a disproportionate amount of attention though - comparing it less high profile epidemics in the developing world.

Le Monde looks at the experiences of mixed race couples in France - saying 61% have suffered discrimination.

The Roland Garros final is starting to get the press excited too - sports paper l'Equipe focuses on Li Na, the first Chinese woman in the French Open final.
