Live: Amid protests, Greek PM in negotiations to quit

Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou has offered to step down to make way for a national unity government, provided it will support EU/IMF bailout plans, which the opposition says must be renegotiated.

  • Prime Minister George Papanderou offers to step down and make way for a unity government, negotiations with the opposition are ongoing. 
  • Greek workers have launched a 24-hour strike to protest against austerity measures being debated in parliament today.
  • The government needs to pass a new 2012-2015 austerity program worth 28
    billion euros ($40.5 billion) this month or face being cut off from continued funding from a 110-billion-euro package of rescue loans from European countries and the International Monetary Fund.

These measures are disturbing. What is even more disturbing is that people in the US seem to be seeing this as a problem overseas, but all markets are connected.

Regretably the people of Greece have to realise that loans have to be paid, and that quite a few people in Europe are getting fed up with bailing the country out with no apparent action in Greece to sort out the financial mess they have.

They try to make Greece a slave for the next 50 years.Enough is Enough for people that in the next 3-4 months will loose everything.Unemployment will reach 30-40% till the end of the year therefore what future exist with this agreement ?
