The euro: forbidden to fail?

The euro crisis dominates Thursday's French newspapers - as commentators pick apart how we got here, how eurozone leaders hope to pull us out, and whether it's even worth trying.

The euro crisis is on all today's front pages: Le Figaro has little faith in Sarkozy and Merkel's ability to find a solution, while Les Echos says that if the euro fails, the whole European project goes with it.

Liberation is more concerned with the protesters - who say any solution will mean unfair budget cuts, while La Croix asks unionists, environmentalists, business leaders and clerics for their views.
