Arab spring, Israeli summer?

FRENCH PAPERS, Mon. 01/08/11. The crackdown in Syria is making a lot of front pages, as is the popular uprising in Israel. Many papers wonder whether the Arab Spring is turning into an Israeli summer. Meanwhile, Marine Le Pen attempts to dampen controversy within the National Front following the tragic killings in Norway on July 22nd. Her father, Jean-Marie, called the tragedy an "accident" and blamed it on the "naivety" of Norway.
