- Algeria - Iran - Israel

Oil smuggling in Algeria, forbidden water fights in Iran, and making music with tanks in Israel

This show is made up entirely of amateur images. We've seen time and time again how images captured by ordinary citizens then uploaded onto the Web can change history, or at least shift the balance of power. This week, we take a look back at some of those moments.

STORY 1: ALGERIA

We begin this show in North Africa. Algeria is the number 13 oil producer in the world - normally that should mean plenty of cheap gas for its people. But our Observer tells us that's not the case in Tébessa, in the east.

STORY 2: IRAN

Next up we head to Iran. It's summer. It's hot, and it's time for a water fight. That's what a group of young people thought recently, so they organised a big water fight in the capital, with both boys and girls. We head to Teheran with Omid Habibinia, an Iranian exile who followed the incident from Switerzland.

STORY 3: ISRAEL

We end the show with tanks in Israel, and a reservist who's turned his APC into a musical instrument. He says he and his squad do know how to use the vehicle if necessary, but in the meantime, he has a more peaceful message to send. We head to the Negev desert, in the south, with Dror Gomel.
