Israel arms settlers, trains them to shoot Palestinians

In Wednesday's pick of the world's press, we look at fears NATO may facilitate a massacre in Sirte, the dark side of the Libyan revolution, Israeli plans to arm settlers and outrage in Latin America over STD experiments 60 years ago.

Egyptian blog the Arabist worries that as anti-Gaddafi troops encircle Sirte, NATO may become compliant in a massacre there; while the Guardian looks at the racism hidden behind Libya's revolution.

Haaretz reveals Israel is arming settlers and giving them military training.
