Revealed: how Total guaranteed its share of Libyan oil

Thursday's French papers focus on the international conference on Libya being held in Paris today - and the NTC's attempts to fund Libya's reconstruction. The allegation that Sarkozy took envelopes of cash from Liliane Bettencourt also makes front pages - along with rumours Sstrauss-Kahn is one his way back to France.

Liberation takes a look at Libya's finances ahead of today's conference in Paris - and reveals that French oil firm Total struck an agreement with the NTC way back in April.

Allegations Nicolas Sarkozy got envelopes of cash from France's richest woman are vigorously denied on the front page of Le Parisien.

And Le Figaro focuses on the return on Dominique Strauss-Kahn to france - something his fellow socialists are anxious to distance themselves from.
