Mediator scandal: Servier reoffends

In Wednesday's French papers, we look at politicians scrambling to stem Eurozone collapse, and allegations French pharmaceutical firm Servier lied about the potentially fatal effects of not one but two different drugs.

Le Figaro says Sarkozy has scored a victory by deciding on a plan to cut the French deficit - but Liberation points out he's actually had to back down.

Liberation's main story focuses on French pharmaceutical firm Servier - under investigation for lying about the content of Mediator, a drug linked to hundreds of deaths - the paper says they've lied about the potentially fatal side-effects of other drugs too.

La Croix looks at just how tough it is to delete your embarrassing past from the Internet.

And Le Parisien says the French football team isn't to blame for last night's poor result against Romania - it was the grass.
