Massoud, the lion of Panjshir

This report takes us back to two days before September 11th 2001, in the Panjshir Valley of Afghanistan. Commander Ahmed Shah Massoud, a warlord renowned for his fight against the Soviets, was killed by fake TV journalists. The murder bore the hallmarks of an al Qaeda operation. Ten years on, our correspondent Olivier Joulie went back to the scene to discover the lasting influence of Massoud.
