Is Greek default inevitable?

Thursday's papers look at what's next for Syria, after six months of uprising, and what the international community can do to support the protesters. Also, have the Germans really had enough of bailing out Greece this time?

The Guardian looks at what Western powers can do to force out Bashar al-Assad - and concludes there isn't much.

The Daily Beast says Iran's mullahs are terrified Assad's fall could also mean the end for them.

The Independent says the Germans have had enough of bailing out Greece - and its default is imminent - and Bild suggests they might be better off with the Deutschmark.

Finally, the Daily Mail says some pretty controversial things about Sarah Palin - including rumours she took cocaine and had an affair with her husband's business partner.
