Europe and the Palestinian bid: stuck in the middle?
In Tuesday's French papers, we look France stands on the Palestinian bid for EU membership, worries about plans to cut food aid for Europe's poorest, and the political fallout from that Dominique Strauss-Kahn interview.

Le Parisien says France is trying to broker a compromise that would see Palestine accept observer status at the UN - but Liberation says they first need to find a compromise among EU countries themselves, who can't agree on whether to back the Paelstinian bid.
Le Monde looks at EU plans to cut subsidies for free hot meals for the poorest - saying soup kitchens could lose two thirds of their funding.
Liberation has a front page interview with Martine Aubry - but all they can ask her about is Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
He's also on the front page of Le Parisien - they're looking at the TV counterattack of his French accuser, Tristane Banon.
