Obama tells Europe to get a grip on debt crisis
Europe is not doing enough to resolve its debt crisis, US President Barack Obama said Wednesday. Early in the week, Obama said the situation in Europe was "scaring the world".

REUTERS - European nations have not done enough to fix weaknesses in their financial sector, U.S. President Barack Obama said on Wednesday, keeping pressure on euro zone leaders to resolve the region's debt crisis.
The U.S. economy's recovery has been hampered by global issues including the Arab Spring uprisings that pushed up energy prices and the financial health of European countries, Obama said.
"In Europe, we haven't seen them deal with their financial system and banking system as effectively as they need to," he said in a question and answer session with U.S. Hispanic media.
Obama, whose re-election chances in 2012 have been hurt by persistently high unemployment and fears of another recession in the United States, said on Monday the debt crisis in Europe was "scaring the world."

Fascinating. The US STARTED
Fascinating. The US STARTED the global downturn with their scumball bankers doing shady deals, and now they're telling EUROPE to get their house in order while America's economy is dying.
Feck off. That's pretty much the only acceptable answer to Obama here.
comparatives
leaving the personal character of Obama out of it, I see that the most hyped up State, California, has been on the verge of bankruptcy for some time. It has had a variety of rescues thrown at it over the last decade.
It's population is around 37 millions compared to Greece, a European State, which comes in at around 11 millions.
Maybe the European Union is not yet fully formed and integrated, for which I tend to blame the pernickety attitude of the UK in refusing to integrate, had we gone for a full political and currency union some time in the past, I seriously doubt, that the Europe so formed would ever have been in the situation of today.
Back to California, which no doubt contributes greatly to the present 15% or so declared 'poverty' across the USA, we in Europe, despite the UK not being a fully integrated member, have yet to see such levels of poverty.
So please Mr President, I suggest you concern yourself with your own fiscal backyard before pontification on ours.
Clean up your system, which influenced ours so dramatically, then when the world returns to the glory days we are all so feared we have lost, maybe you will not need to fret about your trans-Atlantic neighbours.
Obama critical to Europes debt?
Obama has got some nerve trying to talk to anyone about debt when he is the main reason why the United States itself is going bankrupt and the fact that he has trashed the U.S. dollar. The voters need to wake up and vote Obama out of office. The Dems were stupid for not giving that 2008 nomination to Hillary Clinton instead. Obama is an embarassment, he should step down and ask Hillary to run in his place in 2012.
Obama and Europe
How dare Obama...
telling Europe what to do. He and his bankster cronies started the misery the world is in, aiding the globalists, their weapons manufacturer friends and big pharma - being a good puppet - now talking big and dishing the blame around.
Obama stop creating wars, stop creating fear with bogus terrorists - stop telling lies. You are destroying the faith many had in you.
Wake up people!
Obama
Let me tell you, Obama has done NOTHING to solve the unemployment problem in our country. He is the least of the politicians to be able to throw blame at anyone but himself. He is a narccissit of the first order. He has not spent one day of his p-poor administration not campaigning for the next election. With any luck at all at least half of the morons that voted for him in 2008 won't show up at the polls this time. But then, don't be surprised if his Chicago politics (say union thugs) will pay his way in. After all he has a war chest of $1B for his campaign starting now.
