68% say Sarkozy can't win next election

The headlines get worse every day for Nicolas Sarkozy - this morning a poll says 68% of French voters believe he cannot win the next election. The French press also looks at the case of Russian whistleblower Sergei Magnitsky, the psychology of power, and whether Zinedine Zidane could be the next coach of Les Bleus.

Liberation has an eye-grabbing front page - they say 68% of French voters believe Nicolas Sarkozy cannot win next year's election, giving way to speculation another right-wing candidate could run against him.

Liberation also looks at the diplomatic fallout after the death in custody of Russian whistleblower Sergei Magnitsky - saying 60 high-ranking Russian officials have now been banned from visiting the US and UK.

But Le Parisien is more interested in Zinedine Zidane, hero of the 1998 World Cup - he tells them he wants to coach the French team.
