FRENCH PAPERS, Fri. 28/18/11. The eurozone debt crisis continues to dominate the French press. Many papers focus on how Nicolas Sarkozy came out looking after the summit in Brussels and following a televised interview he gave last night. Left-leaning Libération compares him to Napoleon Bonaparte, "going solo" in an old-fashioned way. Right-leaning Le Figaro says Sarkozy did indeed save the day and applauds his truthful approach.
