Bernard Sabbah, travel guru
Rendez-vous in France’s on-screen presenter Bernard Sabbah is one of France’s leading travel consultants.
Bernard Sabbah is a long-standing contributor on RTL radio, helping people with travel-related consumer issues, and has appeared on numerous TV programmes on various French channels (TF1, France 2, NT1). His own show "Vous qui Partez en voyage" is shown on regional television in France. He also finds time to host conferences on travel.
He devised and presents "Rendez-vous in France", a travel show with a difference. It puts two French destinations side by side. The title, too, is a two-for-one deal: "rendezvous" means "meeting" of course, while "rendez-vous" (note the hyphen) means "go there".
The programme explores the glories of France via the country’s history, culture, art and cuisine. There are anecdotes and insights from experts at each destination and unexpected detours along the way. The accent is on the romance of the world’s most-visited country. Sabbah describes the programme as an "original and poetic way of seeing La France!". The first three shows explore: "Rennes and Nantes", "Montpellier and Toulouse", "Angers and Poitiers".
