Nuclear energy is back on France's front pages - as politicians continue to use it as an excuse to attack each other. The 35-hour working week is also back on the political agenda as the ruling UMP party announces plans to scrap it. Meanwhile, Liliane Bettencourt faces a 77-million-euro fine for tax avoidance.

France Soir and Le Figaro both devote their front pages to the ongoing row over nuclear energy - after Green candidate Eva Joly used it as a stick to beat François Hollande with in an interview.

Le Parisien reports plans to scrap the 35-hour work week have gone down well with healthcare managers - because the current law gives doctors 2 million days off to take before the end of 2012.

Liberation pays tribute to former first lady Danielle Mitterrand, who passed away on Tuesday.

Le Monde meanwhile focuses on Liliane Bettencourt - after website Mediapart revealed she scammed the French taxman out of millions by using twelve offshore bank accounts.
