'Guéant: Le Pen's voice'

Interior minister Claude Guéant is back on the front pages today - he's accused of doing Marine Le Pen's campaigning for her. In other bad news for the government, French unemployment is soaring - and French investors have rejected the idea of buying government bonds. Finally, we look at those conspiracy theories surrounding Dominique Strauss-Kahn.

Liberation accuses interior minister Claude Guéant of doing Marine Le Pen's campaigning for her, after he called for fewer legal immigrants in France.

The same paper also blames the government for soaring unemployment figures - as does l'Humanité, which is calling for an urgent change of policy tack.

La Croix reports on the pressure to save the eurozone from recession - while la Tribune says an attempt to get individual investors to buy French bonds has fallen on deaf ears.

Finally, Le Figaro reports on that fresh ammunition behind rumours Dominique Strauss-Kahn was set up back in May when he was arrested in New York.
