Jazz

Thanks for being a fan and for your comments. We've had Herbie Hancock, Omar Sosa, Chris Potter and Ari Hoenig, Ray Lema, Avishai Cohen on the show plus many more - all jazz artists in their own right and all very different. I think everyone has their own definition of who is a 'real' jazz musician. As well as that not everyone watching knows or even likes jazz - so it's difficult to go really deep in 5 minutes with the guest on very specific details about the music as it probably isn't interesting to everyone. What sort of things would you have liked me to ask Stacey Kent for example? Eve x

You're beautiful but....

Hi Eva:
I enjoy watching and listening to your cultural segments. You seem very prepared with the guest you interview. However, on the "jazz" tip, like Stacey Kent here, I think it sometimes falls short because all too often in "big" media, no one really has a firm grip of what jazz is and is not. Thus the interview becomes soft and often very generalized with little to no "jazz sub culture" context. I dig you and you're beautiful, but I'm sure your intelligent audience would appreciate something deeper, maybe some real jazz artists!
