Two films not to miss this holiday season

One film not to miss this holiday season is “A Dangerous Method”, David Cronenberg’s riveting, beautifully played intellectual thriller about the birth of psychoanalysis and the shifting relationships between Carl Jung (Michael Fassbender), Sigmund Freud (Viggo Mortensen), and a young patient named Sabina Spielrein (Keira Knightley).

Also worth checking out is Finnish filmmaker Aki Kaurismaki’s latest movie, “Le Havre”, a wistful deadpan comedy about an aging Frenchman who helps a young African refugee hide from the police.

Le Harve'

That looks brilliant! What London Cinemas is it showing at?? or failing that, will I be able to see it online?

I might give the other one a

I might give the other one a look , but if the first has Keira Knightley in it then It would have to be seriously good or have some other seriously appealing factor!!

You Can So Miss A Dangerous Method

The movie is well done--the acting is good--but it's missable, for sure. And I'm steeped in Freud and a little bit brewed in Jung. The film made me lose respect for Jung, and some of the material is definitely missable (miserable). The story is of historical significance, but it made me realize how the early stages of a science or art can be more than a bit unsophisticated. Of course Jung's writings were very advanced but I guess he was just a product of his times and his class--that class being the class of men supported by rich wives.

movies

Well ,the difrence is noticeable,Hollywood and The european movies ,hollywood ,you only need the intellect of a jackass, and Europeans ,you need the intellect to appreciate movies.
