Fears that France could lose its triple-A credit rating dominate the French front pages - the papers say neither main presidential candidate is prepared to implement the kind of austerity that would really please the markets. We also look at the voters politicians have forgotten, and why there aren't more women on French TV.

France Soir, Liberation and La Tribune all devote their front page to the fear of losing France's triple-A credit rating - and how the rule of the markets favours neither candidate in the presidential election.

François Hollande is doing well in the polls though - le Parisien has him getting 59% of the vote in a second round contest against Nicolas Sarkozy.

Centrist candidate François Bayrou launches his presidential bid today - and la Croix reckons there's still space in politics for a centrist.

Le Monde says all the main candidates are ignoring a huge chunk of French voters - the poor working classes, who rarely vote and have been suffering high unemployment for decades.

Les Echos reports on one demographic they do care about - the two million French citizens living abroad.

And Le Parisien headlines on women in the media - reporting 82% of French TV journalists are men.

'Savage online videos fuel Syria’s descent into madness'

INTERNATIONAL PAPERS, Weds. 15/05/13: International papers react to reports of atrocities from both sides of the Syrian civil war. One particularly gruesome video of a rebel allegedly eating the organ of a dead Syrian soldier has gone viral. Time Magazine says these savage online videos are actually fueling the Syrian conflict.
