François Hollande steals the show at his first late-night EU summit but the ball remains firmly in Angela Merkel’s court. Her constituents remain torn between paying for pain they don’t (yet) feel and shouldering the blame for an eventual collapse of the euro.

Islamist republic's elections are fake

Everybody knows that Parsi is Islamic Republic's lobbist. They do lobby for IRI and it is really sad seeing them having the possibility of appearing on western media

Agree with the professor, but he's missing something

As he points out himself, in agreement with the others, confrontation is what the iranian government wants, even if it's just for the impression at home.
And he is ok with playing along, doing exactly that which he thinks is what iran wants them to do, and ready to let this turn into a war if iran would chicken out.
The rest of the panel would like to avoid that. They don't want to give in to the provocations, and hope that (even more) sanctions, the economic situation and the lack of an enemy threat to deamonize will give the more sane people within iran a chance to turn the weel around.
