Stephen Hawking: 'Women are a universal mystery'
The world papers look at the crisis with Iran as efforts to curb Tehran's nuclear ambitions inches towards a stand-off. Is this just a question of psychological warfare or the real thing? Also, China's mounting military might and astrophysicist Stephen Hawking says women are the real mystery of the universe. That's the focus for this Thursday 5th January 2012.
The Chicago Tribune headlines: “Go for Iran’s oil jugular”.
Al Quds Al Arabi editor-in-chief Abed Al Bari Attouane argues that despite losing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Washington is now waiting for the “trigger” that will allow the White House and its allies to start an attack on Iran.
The Wall Street Journal Europe headlines: “China Targets US Might By Bulking Up Its Military”.
And renowned astro-physicist Stephen Hawking tells The Guardian in the UK: “Women are a universal mystery”.
