Is one of the Republicans 'a Chinese sleeper agent'?
Mitt Romney has the momentum after New Hampshire. While he is seen as one the moderates in the Republican race, one comment writer says he is an "extremist". Much of the media buzz also centres on a video portrayal of Jon Huntsman - third in New Hampshire - which depicts him as the "Manchurian Candidate". That's the focus for this press review, on Wednesday 11th January 2012.
Britain’s The Daily Telegraph asks: “What can stop Romney now?”
The International Herald Tribune cartoon jokes about Romney being labelled a corporate raider.
The Washington Post describes him as: “An extremist in pinstripes”
Another Washington publication, The National Journal, reports on Ron Paul, placed 2nd in New Hampshire: “Paul focuses on Revolution, not White House, in Post-Primary speech”
And The Times of India reports on Hindu anger at a video which also targets Huntsman’s two adopted daughters, one Chinese and one Indian: “Adopted Indian girl targeted in US poll fight”.
