Environmentally-conscious fashion isn’t a brand-new idea, but it’s only in the last decade that it’s developed into a full-scale ethical fashion movement. Could environmentally-conscious fashion be a trend that's here to stay?

We look at the next "jeaneration": denim manufacturers who favour laser technology over toxic chemicals to give jeans the fashionable "distressed" look.

And we discover an Ethiopian fashion success story. SoleRebels were inspired by traditional hand-made sandals, but these are made from recycled car tyres.

We also take a trip to the Netherlands, to see how a Dutch company is making eco-friendly clothing from stinging nettles.

After all night talks - success. Delegates from 194 countries and the European Union at the UN Climate Change Conference in Durban finally hammered out a deal at the weekend to replace the Kyoto Protocol. The carbon-reducing pact is due to expire in 2012 and there had been fears that a new accord would not be made. However, a new plan is under way, meaning a new agreement could be in place and operational by 2020.
