EXCLUSIVE REPORT - Iran: Awakening Dissent

Watch France 24's exclusive report on Iran, one of the most impenetrable countries in the world. "Iran: life under sanctions" offers a new perspective on the impact of the economic crisis on the Iranian middle class, which has suffered from the embargo for many years.

In a trip to the heart of the Tehran bazaar, some customers hint that the situation is getting a little worse every day.

But with increasing economic difficulties, particularly in the carpet industry, hatred of “the West” also remains very much alive in the Iranian capital. Encouraged by demonstrations initiated by the Basijis, some of the population are still ready to do anything possible to exacerbate the nationalist sentiment.
