Senegalese court approves president's bid for 3rd term
Senegal's constitutional court has ruled that President Abdoulaye Wade is eligible to run for a third term in next month's election. Singer Youssou Ndour, who previously declared his intention to run, did not make the list of 14 approved candidates.

AP - Senegal’s constitutional court has ruled that the country’s president for the past 11 years was eligible to run for a third term in next month’s election.

The decision sets the stage for clashes with the opposition which has vowed to take to the streets if the court validated President Abdoulaye Wade’s candidacy.
The court issued a statement late Friday listing 14 candidates that met qualifications to run in the Feb. 26 election, and among them was Wade.
The constitution was revised after Wade was elected in 2000 to impose a two-term limit. The 85-year-old Wade, who is a lawyer by training, argues that the new law is not retroactive, and so he should be allowed to run for a third term.

Wade will live to regret this
A big mistake for those five judges. Wade will definately regret it, he bribe them with new 4x4 vehicles just to stay in power for his son and clans sake.
