'He wants to finish his dirty work'

Sarkozy has announced he will be standing for a second term - the worst-kept secret in France - so the papers are now asking what his strategy will, and if it's too late to win round the French.

Le Parisien talks to PR experts and ordinary voters - some of whom think Sarkozy's announcement was good at projecting a fresh image, but they're still disappointed by the last five years. As La Croix points out, it's his record that is the problem.

Even Le Figaro says he needs to break with the past - while Liberation says he's just proposing more of the same.

L'Humanité is the harshest - their headline is "He just wants to finish his dirty work".
