'Greece is losing not only economically, but its very identity'

Sarkozy's campaign launch has gone down better with some of the British right-wing papers than it has with the French - others are less impressed, though. We also look at Greece, and rising unemployment in the UK.

The Times says they will miss Sarkozy - and that he's been one of the best foreign policy presidents France has ever had. For the Daily Mail, though, he has a Napoleon complex - while El Pais says this is the sunset of a hyperactive era in which nothing was achieved.

The Independent looks at Greece - what pushes people to smash up buildings? Kathimerini sees it as a national moral crisis - while the Huffington Post says it's the government and the EU that are to blame.

The Independent's front page is on high UK unemployment - and The Guardian says the worst thing about this crisis is how we're losing empathy for the people involved.
