The Independent says the West is trying to spin Yemen's election as a democratic transition - but with only one candidate, that's not what the young protesters who forced Saleh out think.

The Guardian says Israel may be determined to attack Iran, whatever the IAEA inspectors say - but the New York Times says they don't really have the military capacity.

The Times is looking at Putin's appeal to the generation nostalgic for Soviet times, with just two months to go before the Russian election.
