How is France perceived abroad? At a time when many people in France feel their country is no longer as much of a player on the global stage as it once was, France 24, RFI and MCD Doualiya commissioned a study to see if foreigners agreed. More than 12,000 people in eleven countries, including the UK, Japan and Brazil, were asked a series of questions to gauge France's popularity in 2012.
