A Russia without Putin?

An alleged plot to kill Russian prime minister and likely president-to-be, Vladimir Putin, has been uncovered by Ukrainian security services. Having escaped the supposed threat against his life, Putin must still face growing public discontent. The opposition movement is determined but politically and ideologically fractured - a credible opponent is yet to emerge, and until then it seems Putin will be set for another 12 years in the Kremlin.
