Writing on the wall

The Pompidou Centre in the eastern French city of Metz is staging a major exhibition of American conceptual artist Sol LeWitt, unprecedented in Europe for the minimal art movement. Sol LeWitt, who was born in 1928 and died in 2007 is a conceptual artist who began his career in the mid-60s and worked with modular variations and series.
