Fighting in Damascus intensifies

Footage is emerging of intensified fighting in the Syrian capital, Damascus, described as the most violent of its kind since the crackdown began. The government is keen to portray the violence as being perpetrated by a band of terrorists, but the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights claims it is the work of the Free Syrian Army. Despite the regime trying to play down tensions, activists say a massive security operation has been deployed in the capital.
