This week, we look at Europe's aid programmes for Africa. With more than 50% of the world's development assistance, the EU and its member states remain by far the biggest aid donors. But the financial crisis and austerity programmes across the Union have already forced several countries to scale back their aid spending. Can Europe live up to its pledges?
