REYKJAVIK Fashion Festival

It’s time for the third edition of the Reykjavik Fashion Festival

Iceland, the land of geysers, volcanos, northern lights and... fashion. A capital where top luxury brands take a back seat to clothing created by homegrown designers.
The man behind the festival is Jon Olafsson, current head of Icelandic Glacial Water. Before selling the pristine element, Jon founded Iceland’s first media and communications group...he also dabbled in real estate, banking, and music distribution. Now, the fashion industry is the latest venture for this Jack of All Trades.
His name is Mundi. He’s 25 and he’s considered the most talented designer in Iceland. But clothing isn’t his only passion. The young artist also writes and directs films...blending his fashion creations with sublimely decorated scene settings.
Not caught up in the hectic pace of the fashion world, Mundi has a zen approach to the creative process.
Wise words from such a young designer..It’s a breath of fresh air for the fashion industry.
