French 'Sleepless Night'

The recent French thriller "Nuit Blanche" has now come out on DVD in France and will soon be released in cinemas in the US, under the title "Sleepless Night". Warner Brothers bought the remake rights and the film will also be released in dozens of other countries. But is it worth seeing? Our film critic Lisa Nesselson tells us more.

Ferdinand Hodler (1853-1918) is the quintessential Swiss artist of the turn of the 20th century. His art is emblematic of the transition between the old and the new, between the realism of the 19th century and a more symbolist approach to pictorial representation.
