Into the deep
This week we head to the French island of Corsica to investigate an almost invisible pollution choking the Mediterranean Sea. Up to 250 billion fragments of plastic are believed to be swarming just below the water's surface.
Next, we report on the damage being done by trawlers that act like bulldozers along the seabed. Finally, we focus on Guadeloupe, where nearly a third of the coral reef has died. A race is on to capture the precious eggs that can be grown in labs and released back into the sea.
