By Media TV

Phillipe Katerine is a writer, composer, singer, actor, filmmaker but he’s also an extraordinary artist. His works are currently on display in the art gallery of a Parisian department store. The exhibit is called “Like a Pineapple.”
Philippe Katerine is showing his drawings and watercolors for the very first time. They portray ordinary everyday objects that are then modeled and set in a giant water fountain. The centerpiece is none other than the musician and designer Kanye West.
The comments of the artist can be summed up in one word: emancipation. In his fight against all forms of domination, subservience and constraint, he represents a liberated mind that is out of the ordinary. I’m lucky to be a tourist, he says, which is the necessary condition for exploring new horizons.
The next performance by Katerine will take place this autumn at the Pompidou Center. A theater piece created with the designer Robert Stadler.
